My Record
I have served for four years as Deputy for St Saviour, and
I believe I have shown myself to be hardworking and not
afraid to speak up for the policies I believe will benefit
the public.
Since being elected in 2022, I have represented our
Parish through meetings, drop-in sessions, Assembly
questions, and ongoing community engagement,
supporting residents with individual cases and ensuring
their concerns are heard at government level.
I have focused on turning community voices into real
action through practical, inclusive policies and strong
scrutiny. Key achievements this term include:
- Secured financial aid for parents of premature and
sick newborns, including up to 12 weeks’ extra leave,
and expanded £1m funding for wound dressings and
medical hosiery
- Passed “Development Levies” - Jersey’s first windfall
charge on rezoned land profits
- Progressed social housing rent reform to reduce
pressure on tenants
With Reform Jersey, we have also delivered free GP
visits and cheaper bus fares for youth, stronger renters’
rights, expanded Pension Plus and free childcare for
2-3 year olds.
At parish level, I have worked to improve road safety,
support safer routes to school, organise community
events, and advocate for parking, youth activities,
allotments, and more community spaces. Some of
this is still work in progress.
My roles held during this term are mainly in Scrutiny,
covering health, governance, and international affairs,
serving as Vice-Chair of the Economic and International
Affairs Scrutiny Panel, a member of the Public Accounts
Committee, the Bailiff’s Consultative Panel, and multiple
PPC sub-committees. I have also been Chair of the
UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) Steering Group and
Jersey’s Breastfeeding Guardian and part of the Women’s
Health Political Advisory Group, named by
the Government.
I am also an Executive Member of Jersey’s
Commonwealth Parliamentary Association,
including a member of the Commonwealth Women
Parliamentarians BIMR, and a member of the Assemblée
Parlementaire de la Francophonie.
My approach is simple: practical solutions, strong
scrutiny, and genuine community engagement to ensure
your voice is heard and acted upon.
Parish and Island Priorities
This election is a chance to continue delivering
practical change that improves everyday life. I am
standing for re-election with a clear aim: to keep
working for St Saviour while helping build a fairer,
more sustainable Jersey for everyone.
I have many concerns for both our Parish and our
island. The biggest challenge remains the cost and
standard of living, which affects everything else.
With high food and housing costs, many families are
struggling, even with two full-time incomes, and some
still rely on support to get by.
Proposed strengthening youth support, secured
grants for Islanders competing off-island, and worked
with community groups to bring local voices into
decision-making
Led debate on removing GST from food to support
low-income families (defeated 17–28)
Championed gender equality, action on
Violence Against Women and Girls, and support
to tackle period poverty
Led improvements in early years care as Breastfeeding
Guardian and Chair of UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative
Supported the Language Policy and strengthened
education, integration, and international partnerships
Held government to account through the Public
Accounts Committee, leading the 2023 Annual Report
review and improving accountability standards
Delivered practical community initiatives, including
male incontinence bins in public toilets
Represented Jersey internationally and my
work on youth engagement, equality, good
governance and public service earned me a
Commonwealth-level award.

We need honest decisions, careful spending, and
better alignment between health, education, housing,
infrastructure, and migration policies. I believe in working
collaboratively; we may not have all the answers, but
together we can achieve far more.
I will continue to focus on:
- Advocating for safer routes to school and
improved road safety
- Advocating for residential parking, community spaces,
youth activities, and allotments
- Ensuring local voices shape decisions and support
families in practical ways
- Reducing the cost of living, including food and
essential goods
- Improving housing and access to home ownership
- Strengthening healthcare, education, and support
for families and carers
- Supporting local industries, including rural and
marine sectors
- Promoting sustainability, energy efficiency, and
recycling initiatives
- Encouraging fair, inclusive policies and
family-friendly workplaces
- Improving connectivity and strengthening
international partnerships
I remain committed to careful spending, strong
scrutiny, and practical solutions that support those
who need it most.
I bring a strong work ethic, real-world understanding,
and practical judgement. As a family-focused Deputy,
I will continue working hard to deliver for St Saviour
and the island.
I look forward to speaking with you, hearing your
concerns, and continuing to work together to make
St Saviour and Jersey the best they can be.
Please consider voting for me on 7th June 2026.
